Participation Information

After the audition has taken place and your dancer is selected to participate in The Nutcracker Cast 2025, you will be required to make payment for participant fee prior to announcing of roles. This fee is non-refundable. Roles will not be announced until all cast members have confirmed their place in the cast & payment has been received. The participation fee includes; casting, rehearsals, costume rental, dress rehearsal & performances. We are excited to announce this years performance will be held at The First Ontario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines!

Performance Ticket Purchases

Rehearsals
In Studio Rehearsals will run Saturday & Sundays, dancers will not be required at every rehearsal. However, once a rehearsal is scheduled it is mandatory for all dancers to attend (unless ill) There will be FULL ACT Rehearsals held throughout November up until the performance. These are mandatory for all dancers in the ACT. (The performance has 2 ACTS)

Costume Fittings
Dancers will be required to attend Costume Fittings 6-8 weeks prior to the performance, costume fittings are mandatory. We try to hold two fittings, one for each act to limit additional required time by you.

Dress/Stage Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal will be held on stage. This rehearsal is mandatory by all cast members. There will be stage blocking & a full run through of the performance. This will take place during the day on Wednesday December 15th at The First Ontario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines. Your dancer will be required for the entirety.

Performances
This year we will be holding Three performances of The Nutcracker. Monday December 15th 7:30PM Show, Tuesday December 16th 11:30AM & 7PM Shows at The First Ontario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines.

*Niagara Ballet School is not liable for any injuries or illness, lost or stolen items. Dancers & Parents must remain respectful to all other cast members, parents, teachers, directors & administrators. Dancers must show up to all required rehearsals, fittings & performances. There will be zero tolerance for any disrespectful behaviour both in person & via email. Failure to adhere by these rules may result in your dancers removal from the cast without refund.
